Attachments are right.  Now the problem is that some readers interpret
_code_ contained in it and they do it with no restriction at all.  Whe
coupled wth mail coming from the Internet that means that the mail
reader trusts ANYONE in the world for taking control of your box.  From a
security viewpoint this is a complete madness.

So instead of asking people in that list to send attachments a better
course would be:

1) Stop using vulnerable mail readers _NOW_

2) Fire the person who recommended its use to your organization.  He
obviously didn't care about security and about the loss of revenue
your company would incur one day or another. 

3) Sue the provider of this mail solution.  BTW in many countries
clauses about the provider not accepting responsibility for damages
are illegal and that means that your acceptance of the terms of the
licence does not forbid you to sue the provider: law is superior to
contractual obligations.
