I have MARS_NWE running here. I had some probelms at first with it not
seeing our local servers. As it transpired, it was because we had so
many servers, they didn't fit into the table it stores the server names.
I had to increase the max server and route counts to 7,500 before they
all fitted. If you have a reasonably large network, you may have the
same problem. By memory, the default maximum was 50.

Regards
Greg

PS If that IS the porlem, you will have to change the variables in the
.h file and recompile.

Sigh. Been there, it didn't work. I followed all of the steps for
setting up
mars_nwe, up to the point of verifying that my /proc filesystem looked
right,
but whenever I had one of my NW-enabled Linux boxes look for available
servers,
it would only see itself (not the other IPX-enabled Linux box, not any
of our NT
servers that talk IPX, just itself, in spite of the fact that all of our
Linux
boxes connect beautifully over TCP/IP). That's why I was hoping
somebody could
provide me with a working example.

Tried all of the frame types, too, and nothing made any difference.

I already use SAMBA like crazy, but since we are doomed to using several
Win95
machines without the GUI, those machines can't run TCP/IP -- only IPX.

IPX.

I would suspect so (Win95 has to share its drives somehow), but I think
that
would be redundant if I can get IPX to work at all.
