I just tried upgrading XFree86 from 3.3.1 to 3.3.2 to take advantage of the acceleration for my video card chipset (AT24). Now when I try to do startx I get the following: xinit: error in loading shared libraries /usr/X11R6/lib/libXext.so.6: undefined symbol: _Xglobal_lock I have libXext.so.6.3 in /usr/X11R6/lib. Why would _Xglobal_lock be undefined? I am now without X so I can't easily check for solutions on the WWW.
