worked perfect thanks , do you know how to allow log in thru microsoft
network I am able to see the linux box and on log on thru network
neighborhood I am asked for a password which I dont know and dont know which
file to modify. If you feel like it I would be appreciative

Go into /etc/rc.d/rc.local where your ipfwadm settings areand add the
line:
modprobe ip_masq_ftp
Then FTP will work without having to use passive mode.
