You know, I've been wondering why Red Hat's XConfigurator (or xf86config for
that matter) seem to overlook some font paths that MetroX recognise. SuSE
picks them up just fine, so I was lucky enough to find a fix. Here's what I
have in my /etc/X11/XF86Config and seemed to do the trick:

   FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc:unscaled"
   FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi:unscaled"
   FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi:unscaled"
   FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1"
   FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Speedo"
   FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc"
   FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi"
   FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi"

Hope this helps.

Running Windows on a Pentium is like having a brand new Porsche but only
be able to drive backwards with the handbrake on.
