I have now had time to re-compile 2.0.33 on my RH 5.1 system (haven't had
enough time lately, between putting out a publicity blitz for LaPAT and
other things that you'll hear about soon). I also re-compiled a known
working version of iBCS for RH 5.1. Alas, I still get the complaint about
"Cannot Open Console Device". Thus it appears there isn't a problem with
iBCS itself, but rather with some system library in RH 5.1. Unfortunately,
trying to trace iBCS programs is rather difficult -- 'strace' doesn't work
on them. Time to go look through the iBCS emulator source deck to see what
I can spot (I could swear I saw a version of 'strace' in there that works
with iBCS binaries).
