It's not really a RedHat (or Linux for that matter) problem per se.

It's unlikely you'll get better performance out of an other HTTP server
than Apache. You should come over to the Apache list and raise your
question again there (it is very low traffic, in fact, no messages this
morning).

Someone will be able to help you tune up your performance (you'll get
more improvements tweaking Apache imho than the kernel, for less effort
into the bargain).

The following command will get you there.

  echo 'subscribe apache' | mail -s 'subscribe apache'
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

If you want to find out how to get truly amazing performance out of
Apache, then subscribe to the mod_perl mailing list (more traffic, but
nothing like redhat-list, <50/day). Excellent signal/noise ratio.

  echo 'subscribe modperl' | mail -s 'subscribe'
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
