I know this really isn't the place for this and that's why I would
appreciate private replies. I don't know anyone that uses Linux. Right
now I use Win95 and NT 4.0 (I have installed and used Linux a bit) but I am
buying a new computer and will be putting Linus on as the main OS. I have
been learning about Linux for the last several months so I do know a bit.

What I need is someone that uses Linux and is really familiar with the
software available and the possibilities of the OS to be able to bounce
things off of. Mainly I need alternatives for Windows programs that I
currently use. I'll list those below just so you know what you are getting
into before you reply. I also need guidance on developing X applications
for Linux and cross-development. I just have a ton of questions.

Again...this probably isn't all that relevant to the list so please reply
privately.

Software I use with Windows:
 1. Visual Studio - Enterprise Edition
 2. Adobe Photoshop
 3. Adobe Illustrator
 4. MS Office
 5. Netscape
 6. Eudora Email
 7. Winfax Pro
 8. NetObjects Fusion
 9. QuarkXpress
10. Adobe Type Manager
11. Adobe Acrobat
12. Quicken
13. Ecco Pro

Thanks,
