Hi,
Has anyone had trouble running X when not root. As a non root user I
get a server crash with the following output (in its entirety) but no X:
-------------------------------------
XFree86 Version 3.3.1 / X Window System
(protocol Version 11, revision 0, vendor release 6300)
Release Date: August 4 1997
If the server is older than 6-12 months, or if your card is
newer
than the above date, look for a newer version before reporting
problems. (see http://www.XFree86.Org/FAQ)

I have a Trident 9400cxi video card, and a monitor with vert 50-70hz and
horiz 31.5-35.1. X works perfectly well for super user.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
