Hi,

I'm a newbie to the Linux way of doing things and have come across a problem
that I haven't been able to solve so far. I am trying to set up an old
PII-333 box that I had laying around. I installed RH7.2 onto it and it has
worked fine. The box will primarily serve as a file server until I can get
around in this OS well enough to migrate it to become my primary gateway to
the internet. The rest of the network consists of a mixture of:
WinNT4.0 (SP6a) -primary gateway using a dialup connection (out in the
country, no other viable services exist yet, this system also runs DHCP
server but not DNS or WINS (this is the primary domain controller)
Win2000 Server as a secondary file server
WinXP (Pro) as my major desktop/production machine and I have a laptop
running this OS
Win98 workstation machines (a variety for my kids and wife)

All machines (except the RH box) access the Internet through the Proxy
server.

I have been able to configure the Linux box so that the machine in
registered on the domain. I am running Samba server and can view both the
Windows boxes from the RH box and can access the shared folders on the RH
box from Windows. I set up the browsers in the RH to point to the proxy
server on the NT box but I keep getting a response from that says
"Unsupported action. Unknown authoritzation method!"

I suspect this is trying to tell me that my proxy authorization is not being
on to the server but there are no settings in the browsers to do this. How
can this be done?

I'm a newbie on the Linux side of things but have a fair bit of experience
on the Windows side.

Can anybody help?

Thanks.
