Vacation with sendmail

Hi all
 
I am running RH8 with sendmail 8.12.5. But now I find vacation can't work over this version sendmail. I always get `Connection refused by localhost.localdomain' from maillog after I configure the vacation message from users. Anyonw knows the reason?
