Using RHAS 2.1.x… Using ksh. How do you enable any user to
have the “sysops” privilege to increase ulimit settings? As it stands, only root can do this. I’ve
attempted to add users to the root group (only as a test) but that doesn’t
work. For the default file descriptor limit, I’ve
modified /etc/security/limits.conf, etc/pam.d/login, /etc/profile, a users
individual .profile, /proc/sys/fs/files-max and nothing has worked to get the
default setting above the1024 mark. Any suggestions? Thanks, Rob |
