Hmmm, well I do have a cell phone, but the monitor quivers even if I
leave it upstairs.  I have a 2.4 GHz wireless phone, the base station
is in the next room.

Both my wife's iMac and my monitor quiver.  If I adjust my monitor
refresh frequency to 75Hz to match hers, mine quivers the same way as
hers (i.e., about the same speed and amplitude).  Our monitors are
about 8--10 feet apart in the same room.  Neither stops if the other
is turned off.
