Its somewhat comforting to see I am not alone. Nothing concrete to add other than I have tried pretty much all the suggestions given (including having the electric company come out). I have not tried the choke on the AC cord though. I have narrowed the problem down to one room in the house (yes, its the computer room). I may try the choke but will probably end up shuffling furniture around. *sigh* Its funny because in all my years of working with computers, this is the first time I have experienced this.
