Peter - is this the same box with the shadow images? I bet your KVM is not up to scratch. Is it a automatic push-button one or a manual dial one? How much did it cost (that usually specifies which one you have)? I had shadow images (I call it ghosting though), and my mouse would behave erratically after switching PCs when I used a cheap crap manual switchbox. The box was about $100 australian. Since I've switched to a $300 Master View (which has real circuitry inside it), all these problems went away.
