Sorry to disturb but is this thread related to non-english characters
beeing wrongly displayed?
Because, I've that with RH8.0 french... At start-up/shutdown only but it's
not nice when I try to convince others of the beauty of linux.

Many thanks. That did the trick.
I don't understand why changing it on the command line didn't do it though.
