No.  Within a given release, like 8.0, Red Hat guarantees binary
compatibility.  That means that the primary focus for the Red Hat
Network (RHN) is security patches, and not feature releases.  There are
quite a few changes from 8.0 to 9 (there is no such thing as 9.0).

It just magically all works.  Download the ISO images, do your upgrade
(or a fresh install, whichever works best for you), and then set up RHN
on your 9 system.  I think if you've upgraded, you don't have to do
anything else.  If you did a fresh install, reconfigure up2date, use
your current username and password, and connect.  Then go to the RHN web
pages, delete your 8.0 system and authorize your 9 system.

RHN is just for updates.  Red Hat Enterprise Network, which you can also
buy, has more features.  Then there's the Enterprise Linux product set
that includes a higher level of support, from e-mail to 24x7 phone
support, depending on how much you pay.
