Select the third tab over "Package Exceptions". You will see toward the top "Package Names to Skip". From here you can add packages you do not up2date to check for as well as select/remove packages that you don't want checked. I personally like the up2date as well as Red Hat's web management. I use it to remotely manage several servers. I can make sure that critical updates are handled in a timely fashion - even when on vacation. As far as the skipped packages - some people don't want the latest kernels as soon as they come out - I commend Red Hat for defaulting to NOT install the latest and greatest when it comes to the kernel (as we saw problems two kernels ago). By the way, I was disgruntled at the "pay 60.00 for basic support" to Red Hat like many were - until I found out that I now have preferred download status for new ISO's, updates, etc. It's $60! I have four servers, two of them are critical - I use the $60 update function, the other two are demo versions and will likely stay that way.
