Hello, I want to make a smooth transition from a windows server environment to a pure (or almost pure) Linux server environment. The most important aspect of this change over would be moving all of the user accounts from a WinNT server to a Linux server while also maintaining it as an analogous PDC/Login server for workstations. Included in this move would be the necessity to provide shares to users and groups regardless what OS is running on their workstations, either windows or Linux.
Has anyone on this list had any experience in this sort of migration? Is there any documentation covering, in detail, how such a migration can be accomplished? Many thanks in advance, James D.
