I've done small migrations of this sort.  Usually no more than 10 or 15
boxes at the most.  I've replaced NT4 boxes with RH6.0 boxes and had
them authenticate to a linux PDC running Samba.  Actually the NT 4 boxes
had always authenticated using the RH box.  It was cheaper to run linux
at these locations and use Metaframe for access to our home office
Patient information app.  Anything specific you want to know, you can
always ask off-list.
