I'm well aware of what can, and can't be protected on the web. My quest is to avoid hot linking, and to avoid someone from directly hitting an image. I'm not after preventing someone from stealing my images - for that, I just don't put them online.

Furthermore, you assume everyone on the net is some l33t h4x0r like you, to know how to bypass whatever they encounter that's preventing them from looking at something. You assume no one has a life like you to go round and about with what your suggesting. Again, I'm not out to stop someone from doing it. I'm merely trying to slow them down. I'm perfectly happy if they load up the actual page containing the image. I don't like however, if they just go straight to the image and look at it, or worse link it somewhere for their pleasure.

Get off your high horse.
