Robert, Go to the main menu (red hat) -> system settings -> Display. Then click on the "Advanced tab". Notice all of the possible settings for the Monitor (Horizontal refresh rate, Vertical refresh rate, and DPI). Then, either find the technical documentation for your monitor, or boot into Windows and get that info. Then plug it into the settings. You should then be good to go.
