Thanks for the reply. That is almost exactly what happened. I used RH's MTA switching tool to switch from postfix (which wasn't working at the time) to sendmail (which hasn't worked since upgrading from 7.3 to 9). Somehow, the switching tool started sendmail but didn't stop postfix. It took a while to get it all straightened out. Thanks again.
It looks like you're trying to run more than one sendmail daemon. I've seen similar errors when people run sendmail as a standalone daemon and also try and call sendmail indirectly from an application like MailScanner. I suggest you check all your mail related programs and verify that you aren't trying to load sendmail multiple times.
