Mate, it was really really annoying - and that's basically what I
reckoned; I did something different, though - just to see what would
happen; BEING that "up2date" wasn't/isn't working correctly right now, I
manually downloaded the latest "fixed" packages from RH and installed
them - right after I did that, I installed POSTFIX's rpm's - then ran
the "rh-mail-switch" application - waited for it to do it's thing, then
switched back to SENDMAIL; I ran the rebuild M4 configuration through
Webmin, then restarted SENDMAIL for giggles and grins...rebooted - and
of course - even though I have the machine's IP and hostname in the
/etc/hosts file, it still hangs out there for a bit followed by the
sm-client - but lo and behold, the damn thing is now tossing mails;
fetchmail was easier to figure out (running it with the --verbose and
--nodetach options) but now it's actually tossing the mail whereas it
wasn't doing squat before...go figure...I'm stumped...but as long as the
customer is getting their mail, I'll take my time trying to figure the
damn thing out...

I do reckon that QMail or similar is in my future...a few mates of mine
that run local ISP's swear by it...(aside from swearing about other
things)

The spectacle of astrology in the White House -- the governing center of
the world's greatest scientific and military power -- is so appalling that
it defies understanding and provides grounds for great fright. The easiest
response is to laugh it off, and to indulge in wisecracks about Civil
Service ratings for horoscope makers and palm readers and whether Reagan
asked Mikhail Gorbachev for his sign. A contagious good cheer is the
hallmark of this presidency, even when the most dismal matters are concerned.
But this time, it isn't funny. It's plain scary.
