man smbmount You can put the username+password in credential file. I do something similar here, and the way I do it, I mount the directory from Win2K using smbmount, and then use rsync to synchronize the two directory, rather than just bulk copying. Then you don't need cygwin or anything else on Win2K. But either straight copy or rsync should work. RDB -- Reuben D.
