Problem is ttyS0 and ttyS1 or not the only possible serial ports. I assume
Windows existed at one stage, where was the COM port for the modem then?
(3F8, 2F8, 3E8, 2E8?). I'm almost certain that this is a PCI bus-based
modem, in which case a plug-n-play resource allocation is required before
communication can proceed. If it is not a PCI bus-based modem and Sony have
not provided any Linux drivers, then you're SOL. Is there any way in the
BIOS to find out where the modem is or can you choose where you want it?
