For ease of use, i'd suggest installing wu-ftp.  All configuration
can be done from linuxconf and is easy to understand if u know the
general concepts of ftp.

Also, if ftpd is already installed you might want to check
/etc/hosts.allow and /etc/hosts.deny and make sure they're set up
to accept ftp connection from u're local network.

You need to set up an ftp *server*. Such as wu-ftpd or pro-ftp.

This need some configuration to get working, but its not too hard.
