HP DeskJet 697C working great here. Also have an HP LaserJet 2100 hooked to
an SCO Unix system. Should work fine under Linux too.
The DeskJet 697C is about $100 at Walmart.
The LaserJet 2100 is about $700 at Staples.

I need to buy a printer which I hope will work with both windoze and linux
