While installing RH6.1 from scratch, the stupid program deleted the
partition from the disk that was NOT being used for the main Linux
stuff.  Needless to say, I was pissed that the installation did NOT
verify what it was going to do to what partitions.

I know that the data hasn't been destroyed because if I create the
first partition, I can mount it, with errors and see the data.
Unfortunately, it is the second partition that I need back, as it
has the backup of me, previous system stuff, and contains all of my web pages.

Is there a utility that I can run that will scan the disk and tell me where
the partitions used to start?  I had the drive split 50-50, but when I do
that, it says that I need to tell it a filesystem type before mounting it.
The first partition will mount.

If per chance that I made the first partition one block too large, will it
screw up the 2nd partition?

Whatever it takes, I need to get the data back off of that drive.
