Chuck:

Is there a problem with "vi" in etc/passwd as in text mode that is the
editor I have always used with no problem. I would copy my passwd file to a
.bak file first to be sure but I noticed the system produces it's own back
file /etc/passwd-
so I have something to fall back on in case I screw up..
