to add the top panel...do a Add menu panel.  You said it doulbed in size..there
are properties for the panel you can change.  I tried sawmill about 3 or 4
months and didn't like it too much.  Now I tried it ...and I LOVE IT.  It's
really awesome.  Helix is cool too.  I have it running on 6.2 piglet and it
works great. You should be able to add a pager in Add applets..somewhere.
