Hi !
I am facing a problem with my Redhat 6.1 M/c.
The m/c boots up fine but sometimes gives error with /dev/hda1 .. failed and
wants root passwd at startup for cleaning. After this is works in read only mode.
System shows this message:--------------

*** An error occured during the file system check.
*** Dropping you to a shell; the system will reboot
*** when you leave the shell.
Give root passwd for maintenance
(or Type Control-D for normal startup):
------------------------------------------------------
What can be the possible cause of this error.
Also while working as readonly system it shows:
hda: read_intr: error =0x01 { DriveNot .....}
hda: read_intr: error =0x04 { Dri.......}
hda: read_intr: error=0x0.......
