So folks, am I missing something here, or what?? Is there a trick or
something that I missed to get these things to work properly? I can't get
ppp to load as a module -- with insmod or modprobe -- nor can I get multiple
others to work right. I'm also trying to get my ls-120 to work and on the
contrary had ide hd and ide floppy support in the kernel, and it didn't
work, and when I used these as modules...It Worked!? ( go figure ) I'm using
the 2.3.99-pre5 kernel. Can anyone give me any pointers to this, I've read
modules.text and anything else I could find and none say what to do when the
modules don't work right. Also, I noticed a module-info file in the /boot
directory, but I cannot find anything similar when I compile a new kernel,
is this file really necessary?
