Hi, I am not sure what I did but for some reason my RH 6.1 locks up on bootup. It loads the kernel up fine and gets down to mounting the main root partition (hda5 in my case). This is after it checks it because I have had to manually shutdown. So I get a "PASSED" on that then I get an "OK" on remounting root as read/write but thats it. It echos the terminal to the screen but won't listen to any break commands and I am forced to shut off power to get it down. While it is doing this it sits there and clicks the HD every 5 secs or so. I left the machine overnight hoping that it was some HD check that was taking an enormous amount of time but when I woke up it was in the same state. I can read the partition from outside linux (explorerfs) and it seems like it is OK I just can't get it to remount. Any Help appreciated.
