Wine question

I hope this message isn't off base.  I have Wine up and running and have
run a few programs from it.  However I need to run a radio interface
from com1.  I need to know what configuration file I need to change and
how to initialize the com port.  The interface program starts and comes
up but can't communicate with the port.  Thanks ahead of time..
