IDE RAID Success?

Hi all,

Has anyone had success with any particular IDE RAID solution?  I'm
looking at the Promise FastTrack66 Pro card / hot swap box solution
which looks pretty cool and exactly what I'm looking for.  Does this
beast work with Linux?

I would think if you simply disable the on-board IDE controllers and use
the card it should be recognized as any normal IDE controller - does
this sound right?
