 Sorry, I am not going to answer your question, but I think the PPP-HOWTO 
handles this topic. I am going to give you a little warning instead :).
 If you are using Windows clients you should note that they make bunny DNS 
requests at startup, which will probably open your connection and waste money. 
Although this is less of a problem with (external) analog modems, it 
definitely is a problem with ISDN, since you don't hear the connection being 
made.
 You will probably want to set up a (mostly) caching nameserver that handles 
these phoney requests - fe I've seen DNS requests for "C:\PROGRA~1" by a 
Windows 98 client. I don't know exactly how to do this, but you might want to 
try fake DNS entries for these requests.
