Out of curiosity, has anyone on this list used parted to shrink a FAT or
FAT32 partition?  I have used it to extend a FAT32 partition, and was
quite happy with it.  No files were damaged (can't say the same about my
experience with partition magic) and extending the drive from 3 to 6 GB
took well under a minute (partition magic takes *FOREVER*).

I imagine, however, that shinking is a much more complicated operation.
