For writting CD's you don't need to mount them.  The device will be
/dev/sg0.  For reading, you use /dev/scd0.  As far as CD writing
software goes, I like cdrecord, but there are others...  You might want
to read the documention that comes with cdrecord, or the CD-Writing
HOWTO.
