login ... in.rlogind (inetd.conf)

Hey all, I gots a question...

In the inetd.conf, the line:

login   stream  tcp     nowait  root    /usr/sbin/tcpd  in.rlogind

Can this be commented out?  My feeling is that it's probably for r* services
(rsh, etc), but I don't want to screw myself and not be able to log in to
the machine at all.
