I have an hp5si printer with a jetdirect card and have set
it up as a remote printer on a redhat 6.0 box with all the
security updates. I used printtool on the server to set it
up. Printing has worked fine for over a year. Still does.
I share this via samba and all win boxes can print just
fine, including envelopes (this is from Word). When the
envelope gets printed the printer will prompt for someone to
feed it into tray 1 (manual feed). Works great.

Now I am trying to get word perfect 2000 for linux or what
ever it is that comes with the corel office 2000 suite, to
print an envelope but even if I change the page layout to a
# 10 envelope it still prints to tray 2. The printer
prompts me that there is a wrong paper size in tray 2 ( it
contains 8.5x11) and if hit the online button it assumes I
know what I am doing and prints the envelope on the 8.5x11
paper in tray 2.

I have been pulling my hair out to find out how to get the
spooler to sent it to tray 1 instead, but no joy. I assume
I need to set up another printer queue with some extra
parameters but I am at a loss as to what these parameters
are.

I really hate to reboot into windows just to print a $%@#
envelope. I searched the linuxprinting.org site and found
some scripts that will suposedly print envelopes from a list
of addresses in a file but that is not what I want to do. I
want to print it from word perfect.

Any tips appreciated. It is quite possible I have missed
something simple but if it is I don;t know what it is.
Help!

Bret
