I tried running netconfig, but I don't even think the OS detects the card.
I'm new to linux, so I've got no clue to how to get the device to be
detected.  It doesn't show up during bootup.   ...If I add an interface in
Gnome's "Network Configuration," it names it eth0.  ...then it shows up
during bootup, but it fails.

Any suggestions?
