I have a large scale plotter that works via the same sort of interface. Try
treating it as a remote unix box. You will probably want to set the remote
device name to raw. Printool worked fine for my system. I had to add an
entry in /etc/hosts for the IP of the plotter, but that was it. You could
also add that name to DNS if you have it running on your network. If you
want specifics, I can send you my printcap and a few more details.
