I sometimes run Notes 4.6a on my Linux box at home using Wine. It works
well enough for most of my needs, but it isn't perfect. One of the worst
problems is that sometimes I'll send a mail (or sometimes a series of
mails) that cannot be read by the reciever, who gets some sort of an
encryption error when trying to open the mail.
Other issues, it's somewhat slow (though I'm running it on PPP via
modem, so maybe that's the problem). If you leave the mouse pointer sitting
on one of the little icons on the various task bars long enough for the
little help thingie to pop up it tends to hang there more or less forever,
so move in, click your button, then get outta the way.
Last time I tried importing and exporting files didn't work very well
though I've upgraded my Wine since then. I seem to recall that printing
mail from Notes didn't work either.
But it is possible to read and send mail with it despite its imperfections.
Good luck!
