just because kudzu found it, doen't mean it's configured, or brought
up. You should find it quite obvious to setup properly using linuxconf or
netconf, or manually setting up files in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts.
Then to start it do
ifup eth0
and use ifdown eth0 to stop it.
