Umm...
If you don't know how to unpackage .tar.gz packages, are you sure you're up to
setting up a webmail server? For my experience setting up Imp can be a
difficult task sometimes.
But anyway, if you really want to, you can find RPMs for Imp at it's home
site.

PS. And you can unpack a .tar.gz file with command 'tar xfz package.tar.gz'...
