I just had the weirdest problem. Just changed from a fixed IP provider (@home) to a DHCP provider, optonline.net.
As the optonline installation instructions said to use any host name one wanted, I changed mine. Upon reboot, lpd would not start, giving a boot message "Get_Local_Host failed", and X would not start. I only got this fixed by going back to the original host name, in /etc/sysconfig/network. Is/are there other places where one has to change local host name under DHCP? Thanks. John -- John P.
