If I'm interpreting the question correctly, these are two separate
issues.  Remember that clients resolve www.tedssite.com on their own,
so it's your DNS server that will determine whether requests even
reach you.  What Apache does with a request with a Server header of
"www.tedssite.com" (if it gets one) is a different matter, and you can 
define that response any way you want with a virtual host.

As for translating links on a mirror, wget handles that for you.
