Although not a RH solution, the easiest thing to do is to buy a LinkSys box (or SMC, etc) and have it do the sharing for you. A good box, one that can also do printer sharing, will cost appx $250.00. Unless you already have a RH box that can be pressed into service for this, I wouldn't bother.
Personally, I took some spare hardware and set up a Linux server precisely for the purpose of internet sharing, and file/printer sharing via Samba. But unless you know what you are doing, or want to spend the time learning, I'd buy the hardware. ...JAke >>>>> "vs" == vijay singh <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> writes: vs> Hi.. would appreciate any pointers on how to share a DSL connection vs> btw a Linux box and a Windows Laptop. vs> happy holidays vijay vs> _________________________________________________________________ MSN vs> Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: vs> http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx vs> _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing vs> list [EMAIL PROTECTED] vs> https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list -- Jake Colman Principia Partners LLC Phone: (201) 946-0300 Harborside Financial Center Fax: (201) 946-0320 902 Plaza Two E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Jersey City, NJ 07311 www.principiapartners.com _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
