The approach is drastically different. Wine does not allow you to run Windows. It allows you to run some Windows applications. If you don't care if most apps don't run, then maybe Wine is for you :-). Check the Wine web site at http://www.winehq.org and do a quick browse through the application database. Many major products won't even install, let alone run. >From the Wine FAQ: "... it's reasonable to assume that Wine will be able to run more than 85% of all Windows programs within two years." Wine is a major undertaking, but not ready for prime time yet.
